Tofts Beef Shorthorn History
The Tofts herd of Beef Shorthorns was established in 1981. The reason for establishing the herd was to breed bulls to cross over our Tofts Aberdeen Angus cows to produce what we believe are superior functional suckler cows. This is still the case today.
The herd was established using genetics from Uppermill (Lovely), Newton (Wineberry), Parkfield (Princess), Upsall (Holly) and Winbrook (Rose). Over the years the herd has also has genetics from Canada added (Joyful’s, Maid’s and Precious’).
